Traditional Tales in English
In English, our focus has been the Traditional Story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears. We learnt the story map and then became text detectives to find different words within the text. We had great fun with our magnifying glasses! This all led into the end product of our own stories which included hedgehogs, dogs and even squirrels!
Balancing the seasons
Our Science work has been focusing on Seasonal Changes. To help us with this, we all made a Season mobile which included matching the seasons to the months and to the typical weather.
Stable Structures
As part of our DT work, we have been learning about Stable Structures. We had great fun making basketball hoops out of straws, masking tape and pipe cleaners. It was amazing when we made them stable and they stood up on their own.
Making Memories
Our History focus has been on our personal History. The children have all made Memory Boxes which we are going to keep in school and add to throughout the year. They have done a great job.

"The school gathers the views of parents regularly and involves them in recognising the school's successes. Workshops and participation in class activities provide opportunities for parents to understand aspects of the curriculum and to be involved in their child's learning."
