Together we succeed

"Pupils are happy in school. They appreciate the wide range of opportunities to explore their talents and interests. The school encourages pupils to share their own talents with others. For instance, pupils run their own magic and singing clubs."

Sports Day Update
7/07/2026 12:37 PM

Dear parents,

Looking at the current weather and the forceast for the next two weeks, we feel that it is appropriate to move Sports Day to the morning of Monday 20th July, rather than holding it in the afternoon.  Sports Day will run from 9:15am and we would hope to be finished by 11:30am.

We look forward to seeing you all there.

Dear Parent/Carer,

With the weather forecast to be hot for the remainder of the week, the children may wear PE kit to school Wednesday to Friday to make them more comfortable.

Children must bring a hat and water bottle with them each day to stay hydrated, and sun cream should be applied before school.

Thank you

Key Stage 1 Mini-Olympics update
9/07/2026 3:18 PM

Dear Parents and Carers of Children in Year 1 and Year 2,

We would like to inform you of a change to next week's event, which was due to take place at Heath Fields Primary School on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, due to a low number of schools taking part, the event at Heath Fields has been cancelled. However, we have worked with the South Derbyshire School Sport Partnership to arrange for one of their sports coaches to visit our school and deliver the planned activities here during the afternoon.

This means that children will still be able to enjoy all of the exciting activities that were originally planned, while also removing the need for parents and carers to arrange transport to Heath Fields.

We are pleased that the event can still go ahead and are sure the children will have a fantastic afternoon.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind regards,

Mr Rudge
