Young Voices information

9th December 2022

Dear Parents,

We are all looking forward to the Young Voices Concert on the 10th January.

On the day of the concert children will have their lunch early, as we aim to leave school at
11:30am. Children will need to wear their Young Voices T shirt or a plain white T shirt (with
no branding). Your child will need to wear their school trousers or skirts and shoes. Please
ensure that coats are named.

Young Voices are arranging a collection for “FareShare”. They have asked the children to
bring a tin of food to the concert to donate to FareShare. We will be able to leave our food
items on arrival at the arena. FareShare will then collect the food and distribute it to the
homeless and those in need.

Rehearsals will take place between 2pm and 5pm, after which there will be a break for
children to eat their packed tea. All children will require a packed tea on this day. Security
at the venue is very tight. They have a strict no backpack rule. With this in mind, please
send your child with their tea in a carrier bag. Everything left in the carrier bag at the end of
our tea break will be put into the bin to prevent children from leaving anything behind at
the venue. Your child will need a water bottle, these will be able to be refilled through the
day.

The concert is due to finish at 8:45pm and we will then make our way back to the coach and
then to school. Please note that we will be updating our estimated arrival time via the
School Jotter App. If you do not currently have this, please ensure that you have installed it
before the concert to allow you to keep up to date.

Children will not need their school bags on this day.

Please contact the school office if you have any questions or concerns.
