Another busy week was finished nicely today with our children raising money for Children in Need. They came to school dressed in strange concoctions of pyjamas, stripes, spots and football kits, had a go at naming a cuddly anteater and were able to buy a Pudsey Bear biscuit at break time. Thank you to Mrs Mayley, Mrs Foreman and our Super Students for helping to organise these things.
During worship today, our Active Champions shared what they have been doing in school. I was lucky to watch them run an engaging dance session for at least 30 children this week. Their enthusiasm, organisation and team work meant everyone was active, engaged and most importantly, having fun. I am sure they will continue to run these sessions throughout the year which will give them a fantastic opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills.
Key Stage 1 have begun to plan for our Christmas celebrations this week and I am looking forward to what I am sure will be a beautiful service in Church later in the term.
Finally, I would like to thank all the children for their sensitivity as we marked remembrance on Monday. Both in my worship and in our 2 minute silence at 11.00, it was clear that everyone understood the significance of this important time of reflection.
