Headteacher’s Blog 06.12.19

It has been a busy week of assessments here at school with children showing the progress they have made this year. For our Year 6 pupils, I have sent home some practice SATS that we have done: I would recommend that parents spend time having a look through these to see where mistakes were made. So much of doing well in tests is down to test technique and reading questions carefully.

The Pigs and Piglets classes have also been working very hard preparing their Nativity which will premier at church on Thursday 19th December at 14:15. It would be lovely to see all of you there, even if your child is not performing. The whole school will be singing and there will also be a presentation led by our Super Students.

Finally, I wanted to say a big “well done” to our dodgeball team who took part in the South Derbyshire tournament at Etwall on Wednesday. 25 teams entered the competition and I am proud to say that our team qualified for the quarter finals where they were narrowly defeated by a strong team.
