Head Teacher’s Blog 22.11.19
I thoroughly enjoyed sharing some of the excellent writing that has been done in Class 2 and Class 3 this morning in celebration worship. The creativity, complexity and accuracy were impressive and showcased how well our children are progressing with their writing.
Throughout the week, I have had the opportunity to show several prospective parents around the school. In all classes, they saw children motivated and determined to do their best. Our PRIDE learning behaviours were all on display. At this point, I would also like to thank all parents for responding to our parent questionnaire so promptly: we will use this information to drive school improvement over the coming terms.
Mrs Ackernley has begun preparing our school dodgeball team ahead of the South Derbyshire competition in a couple of weeks. We all wish them the best of luck and hope they continue our success in small school events.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge all of the great work our children are doing in running events for other pupils during lunch hours. From our Super Students opening the Pride Shop, to the Class 2 girls organising a dance club and from the Librarians to the Active Champions, there is always something to do even if the weather is not very nice.
