FCBS is an energetic, thriving parents’ and friends’ association. Through the hard work of the committee members and the support of parents and the local community it is extremely successful in raising money which is spent on enriching the education opportunities on offer to all our children.
Recently FCBS have bought the children an outside trim trail and wooden play ship, furniture, curtains, an electronic lending system for the library, digital video camera, Digiblue cameras, and construction kits. They regularly support one outing a year for each class and sponsor a special activity for the Y6 when they leave to go to secondary school.
Not all events are intended to raise funds. Whatever the main purpose, the events are great fun and perform valuable social function, drawing together the members of what is quite a far-flung school community. New members are always made welcome and if you are interested please ask any member of staff for details.
